AGREEMENT WITH THE NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE
Our thermal facility is accredited and contracted with the Italian National Health Service. This means that, once a year, you can undertake a cycle of thermal treatments using the prescription from your general practitioner, paying only the health-service ticket (if you are not exempt).
Perhaps not everyone is aware that first-super accreditation with the Ministry of Health must be renewed and supported through scientific research, training and the protection of the resource. And AbanoRitz is at the forefront in supporting the fundamental role of our Pietro d’Abano Thermal Studies Centre.
It can never be said and clarified enough that with an ordinary “red prescription” from your general practitioner you can enjoy free of charge a thermal cycle for the preventive care of many rheumatic articular and extra-articular conditions, of numerous diseases of the respiratory and ENT tracts, and even of certain vascular diseases.
SERVICES AVAILABLE TO ALL INSURED PATIENTS
- Mud applications plus baths or showers performed with mineral waters (so-called “Annettamento”) for arthro-rheumatic conditions (cycle of 12 mud applications and 12 baths or showers). Includes a medical examination upon admission to the thermal facility.
- Mud applications plus therapeutic baths (cycle of 12 mud applications and 12 baths). Includes a medical examination upon admission to the thermal facility.
- Baths for arthro-rheumatic conditions (cycle of 12 baths). Includes a medical examination upon admission to the thermal facility.
- Inhalation treatments (inhalations, nebulisations, aerosols, humages) (cycle of 24 sessions). Includes a medical examination upon admission to the thermal facility.
- Treatment cycle for rhinogenic deafness. Including: specialist examination, audiometric test, 12 endotympanic insufflations, 12 inhalation treatments. Includes a medical examination upon admission to the thermal facility.
- Treatment cycle for the late effects of chronic phlebopathies: 12 therapeutic baths with hydromassage.

THE ASL PRESCRIPTION
Validity of the prescription
The validity of the prescription for thermal treatments is the calendar year (365 days), with the requirement of only one cycle of thermal treatments per legal year (1 January – 31 December).
Duration of the thermal treatment
It is accepted that the cycle may be completed within a maximum of 60 days from the start of the first treatment to the last.
